Shared Housing Center
Shared Housing Center was created in 1984 to provide and facilitate affordable housing options. Our mission is to break the cycle of homelessness for the elderly, single parents with children, and persons with special needs. We offer non-traditional permanent and transitional housing solutions, and programs and services that create independence, empowerment and self-worth.
Shared Housing Center is on the front lines of the fight against poverty and has an strong record of enabling our clients to elevate themselves from homelessness and near homelessness to lifestyles of relative self-sufficiency. You can learn more HERE.
As we all know, the economy has been hit hard for the last three years, which is especially true for non-profit organizations since many business have been forced to scale-back their charitable contributions. Ironically but logically, as the economy has declined and donations have slowed, it has only created more demand for the services offered by non-profits and they are stretching funds further than ever as a result. The same is very true for Shared Housing Center, which is why our annual fundraiser is so important.
